Well, its a work in progress, its been cleaned, de-algaed, moved, turned around, back painted, filled and hardscaped. I have installed my Peat Moss bags and will test tomorrow. This is where it is at now, all that is done is hardscaping as far as you all can see.... Have to test my PH tomorrow after adding the peat bags.

I want the piece of driftwood that looks like a Y and is in the far upper right corner. Man that would look great standing up in the back corner of my tank with something strung to it like riccia or maybe some moss!
If you ever get tired of it you know where you can send it Ryan...it would have a happy well cared for home..hehe!

I almost threw it out when I hardscaped as I got rid of one piece I really liked.... but I could not get it to stay down even with the heaviest rock. That one shaped like a Y is almost 3 foot long. It was my first piece of driftwood and took a few months to sink. Hard for me to get rid of because if fills up so much!

Here are the next stages of the tank.... fish are in but I did have some issues. As I was removing one of the Discus from the 55 upstairs it jumped out of the net and landed in the corner where I could barely get him (behind the tank) He was out of water for a minute or 2.... hopefully it will recover from the stress.

Thanks.... I got tired of all that stargrass and it looks MUCH better. Also with the black paint on the back it looks cleaner than the plastic hanging back there! Makes me more willing to let people see the background, before I wanted to hide it!

The extra driftwood did not hurt either!

New plants in the tank... you should be able to spot them.... Red Crypt, Melon Sword??? and some Microsword.

Trying here to move away from the stargrass! :)

Thank you... they do. Too bad they always decide to break up and not shoal often.

    Re: 125 Planted Disucs Tank

Well, today I am trying something that I hope will help my Discus pair off.

That single Angelfish that has been still residing with the Discus, I removed her and put her in my 55 for now. I still dont know what to do with her but for now that should help.

I have been reading and there are a few articles here and there that say that faster fish of equal size to Discus pose a threat for reproducing and so they sometimes decide not to.

On top of that, the Angelfish did not fit the tank. It was kind of strange looking at a tank full of colorful fish. And then here is this one silver Angel.... she was kind of an eye-sore.

After doing that my Discus spread out all over the tank and are not all huddled up over on the right side of the tank :) (Anthony, you know)

Updated picture too.... I moved some Java Fern to the Driftwood. The Swords children are now planted and there is no Angelfish [dancing]
