    ALTUM ANGELFISH
    Also keep angelfish, altum scalare

    Family:Cichlids, Cichlidae
    Characteristics:About 6 in long, but up to 13 in high. Can be sexed only with great difficulty.
    Tank/Water:125g, water type 1-2, 81-86F.
    Care:In loosely planted, dark tanks as a group. Include roots that protrude into the tank from above and offer places to hide. Feed a variety of frozen foods and mosquito larvae.
    Habits:Peaceful blackwater fish native to Amazonia. Pair-forming open spawner from biotopes with lots of roots.
    Compatibility:Dwarf cichlids, armored catfish, Ancistrus, larger characins. Neons will be eaten!
