    Chinese Sailfin Sucker

    Family:Suckers, Catostomidae.
Characteristics:24 in, hard to sex. Young much more brightly colored than low-contrast old fish.
    Tank/Water:37.5g, water types 3-6, 61-81F.
Care:Only in very large tanks with strong filtration and several roots under which the fish can rest. Feed pellets containing vegetable matter. 138 in tank length is given because it is suitable in the long term only for fish that are not fully grown. Don't let the juveniles' cute appearance lead you to make a bad buy!
Habits:The species is native to Yangtse River in China. It has high edible value and is bred in ponds.
    Compatibility:Other Asian "giant fish."
