I have a small piece of driftwood that I have soaked for weeks in both salt water solutions and baking soda solutions and rinsed well in hot water after each soak. Placing the driftwood in my holding tank it has developed a white fuzz in lots of places. How do I rid this material ,white Fuzz, from my driftwood? Assume it is a fungus of some sort. Is this something that would harm my freshwater fishes? Any assistance would be appreciated. Probably will boil it next to see if that improves the situation.
