my roommate has one of these horseface loaches in his 10 gallon planted tank, it is a ton of fun to watch it dig around in the sand!

I'm fixing to change mine tank into sand. My heater is set on 80 degrees but it saying my temp is 82 degrees is that ok for a freshwater fish

It depends on the fish. I keep my temperature around there because of my Rams and Apistos. My community tank has rainbow fish, tetras, barbs, and a few others and they all seem to tolerate it. Most people who keep tropical fish probably have their tanks around 78.
