florida gar fish in new jersey

    Really? I didn't think $26 was all that bad...I'm sure they'd be a heck of a lot more at my lfs knowing them.

    Maybe try aquabid or calling around to see if local fish stores in your area might order you one?

    They sell pretty cheap here in VA. Between 15 and 20 dollars for a small one.

    its not the 26 dollars,its the 34 dollars for shipping.it comes out to 60 bucks for one fish,i dont think so

    yep, that's where it gets pricey...the online stores shipping (which is usually overnight if you want to receive anything alive).

    How about posting an ad on your local craigslist? (might get lucky)

    In the pittsburgh area I can throw some names at you of 2 fish stores....but that would be a heck of a travel for ya.

    i had one a while back that i just threw out in a lake. it came in my 75gal and i could never get new fish, it would always eat them :/

    hope to get another one, one day when i have a tank to accomidate it.

    when i first got it last year, the store owner said it will be fine with smaller fish.i had 15 tiger barbs that i loved to watch swim in a school together,the next day i only had two left.but i love my gar,hes a preditor

    where in NJ are you ? I used to live in Kearny and would go to the Nutly pet center in Belleville and I know they used to have them , but its been 10 years since I lived there .
