FS: Fish and Shrimp - P/U and Shipping - VA

    Nooooo....it's not a Long John Silvers promotion.

    But, it is time to thin the herds some. Weather is good for shipping now.

    First up we have Ottocinclus Vittatus. Up for grabs will be lot's of (5) juvies. These guys have been tank raised and are readily eating a variety of foods from flakes, fresh veggies and specialty mix. Price of these will be $25 shipped.

    Next up will be a random shipment of CRS/CBS shrimp. The grading on these are roughly S and above. I'm not picking and choosing grades and/or colors. What plops in the net is what will be packaged. I will at least guarantee there will be a mix. They will ship in lots of (10) with a couple extra's added. Size will be around 1/4". Price on these packages will be $50 shipped.



    * DISCLAIMER * All fish and shrimp will be shipped in Kordon breather bags and insulated boxes. Shrimp will have a snipet of Java Moss or Subwassertang to hold on to during shipping.

    Shipping via priority mail. I cannot guarantee live arrival for Priority Mail shipment. Sorry. Packages normally sent out Monday-Wednesday to ensure prompt arrival. Express shipping with Live Arrival Guaranteed available at an added cost.

    $3/fish + shipping. I don't believe that is an unreasonable amount is it?

    I could be wrong as this is just a guess James, but I think their asking that because most places (petstores, not home bred) otos are usually a buck a piece (at least in my area).

    Well, I can't say what prices are from every store as we all know they will differ. What I can say though, is that general market comparison puts me right in the ball park. Then I factored in guaranteed healty stock as opposed to unguarteed stock from that of an LFS or chain store. I think it's a great price for what I'm offering.

    Not to mention that my last batch sold higher with an unsolicited offer, but that did not factor in the pricing I'm offering my fellow hobbyists.

    That's pretty good. I honestly can say that the only time I have ever seen them at $1 is when PetSmart is having their $1/fish sale.

    I will say that I have done a market study from both online retailers (private and public) as well as LFS across the areas I have traveled within the past few months. Haven't seen anything below $1 and as high as $4. Importerts don't even offer them for a buck.

    wow, I get mine for less than a buck (go me!). Crazy to hear that importers don't offer them for less.
