    questions regarding Corydoras Fry:

    I need advice!
My eggs hatched today and look like eggs with tails that are swimming VERY fast.
1st I can't let them in my breeder net..they'd fall through.
So, do I go out and get a mesh one or a tiny tank (wouldn't have room for anything bigger than say a 5g..maybe 10) and have no spare equip.

Next, when do I feed and what (assuming hikari small bites).

I've done this with livebearers and bristlenoses I just left in the tank to do their own thing....but corydoras I'm def new at)

    Please advise!

Well I would go out and buy a 10 gallon or a 5, which ever you can fit and get a sponge filter.

If the small bites are small enough you can start feeding them tonight, just a little bit to see if they actually can eat it. The egg sack should feed them for 1-3 days.

Thank You, so a basic tank with a heater and sponge should work. Do I need to worry about lighting or substrate?
Hoping to get away with bare min. since tapped right now.

Yep just the basics. I wouldn't worry about the substrate, not now anyway. After this batch of fry you may want to add a small amount of sand since the fry won't be able to fall into it like they would with rock substrate.

Just the tank, sponge filter/air pump and a heater will be fine. I would try to set it somewhere that it will get some light and isn't completely dark.

Yeah you can use that. The new Nutrafin Cycle seemed to work well for me. My tank at 4 days is completely cycled. With the fry I would probably try the Tetra Safe Start since it's Bio Spira's non refrigerated version and is supposed to be an "instant" cycle. You can probably also take some of your filter media on your 90 and squeeze it into the new tank while the sponge filter is running. After the water clears put the fry in there. I would do that first and if you see any ammonia use the Safe Start.

How did you sneak that in :) I need to give that a shot. I'm sure I can convince my parents that I had nothing to do with it but it's gonna stay anyways
