Well I'm finally off the deep end so to speak. I'm setting up a 250 gal pond in My living Room. Totally Going to be DIY Just the bare bones at the moment and will take awhile to complete but it will be fun doing. Pond and fountain with a paper mache (well old sheets not paper) rock formation with a statue above the fountain and plants (fake and live) on the rock. 4 pendent lights will be above the tank, Here's some pics of just the start. A rena pump controls the fountain which is just in the rough to see the flow output. (not very pretty yet) LOL.

    wow, great idea!
Although If I did it my hubby would definately commit me at that point. haha!
(is thinking do we REALLY need a dining room table) lmfao!

So what's going around the outter sides to hide the plastic basin? Big potted plants or are you planning on stacking some big rocks to create a sorta wall for it?

<--is already stocking it in her head (FANCY goldfishy's)

Ps. for the Koi most say you need at least 1000 gallons :(

I got a turtle for it if you go KOI.

If you go with an angel grow out, let me know how it works out.

Oh yes Now have 3 tanks at the moments A 60 with a 9" male flowerhorn, a 45 divided (getting 2 mated pair of gold superveil angels and a 40 with 6 Platinum blue pearlcale angels and 2 powder blur golden rams. Had to get rid of over 1400 gals of tanks and some angels and discus that I was raising for breeding. (well over $3000 in fish alone)

This pond looked awesome right before she had to move. I went by to pick up a tank I was buying and this pond looked really cool. Bamboo skirt hanging around it and filled with live plants and driftwood. Awesome looking angels in there.

Been there, sorry your dad had to rehome his cichlids. It takes so long getting ones that can all coexist and not kill each other..
