Fish will come soon. I am waiting until I have the aquarium perfect. I am almost there but I have decided to take out all the glosso and plant HC. I am also going to move a few of the background plants.

I do have some critters in there now. 1 oto catfish and 25+ adult cherry red shrimp.

I also need to build my auto dosser. I made one but I used a micro jet pump and it wasn't consistent enough in how much it dispensed. I ordered a Peristaltic pump from ebay and it should be here next week. I also got a larger container to hold more solution. I will still dose po4 by hand and sparingly.

LoL I know. My aquascaping skills are nothing like yours so I figured if we traded that would be easier.

well one of these days I'd like to start my first saltwater tank, then the shoe will be on the other foot. I will need lots of your help. I have never really done cichlids either. Man I need twice as many tanks and twice as much time.

:) I bet we all wish we had twice as many tanks and twice as much time. I've been thinking of doing a cichlid tank again.

Did some thinning today. Still have a few hours of re-scaping to do. Still need to move around the background plants and plant the HC. Here is a quick snap shot of the tank. I know it looks like crap but give it a couple of days and It will look a lot better than it did before ;)

Great looking tank, I have everything I need, just can't keep it clear. The water always turns green...

I just got back after being gone for a week visiting my family and this is what I came home to. The needle valve on my regulator is not the best quality and needs to be adjusted or the flow rate some times slows down. This is what happens when your tank gets plenty of nutrients and not enough co2. Check out the green piles of goo at the bottom of the tank after I scraped with a razor. I guess I'm lucky it was just GSA and not something worse.

Yeah.. like BBA! :) I am still fighting that crap... I dont have CO2 on my tank though... I have thought about it reading that it does help the plants outcompete the algae... I get my fair amount of GSA with the ferts I put in and the heavy lighting I SOMETIMES display...

The tank looks good though none-the-less! I have tank envy! :)
